Melatonin may be one of the most important anti-aging compounds that we produce endogenously in our own bodies. But it requires exposure to the sun in the morning hours, and even the evening hours, to be created. Max: We used to spend 50% of the time outside as human beings,. We now spend 7% of thetime outside. That means that we're not getting ultraviolet B radiation for vitamin D. And we're starting to see this now with vitamin D deficiencies.
