The malign prior is a problem articulated by Paul Christiano and recently there was also this post by Mark Su which gave some explanation liberation. It seems really really weird in kind of you know it kind of triggers jibsertity, heuristic really hard but the more you think about it the more convincing it seems at least for me. In usual Cartesian approaches we have those bridge rules in those bridge rules they produce very very complex same modusives so simulation hypothesis can sometimes start looking a lot more attractive than non-simulation hypothesis why because like imagine that there is some universe with some relatively simple laws of physics that contains some kind of intelligent engines who want to take over our universe
