The economy is a big, complex system with all these inputs. A lot of them would seem to be largely immune to any president's wishes. On the other hand, and we recently did another freconomics radio episode called, has the us Presidency become a dictatorship? And in some ways this episode was a a rebuttal to my own argument in that earlier episode.
