Sometimes runs are just hard. Sometimes they're meant to be hard. And it's the same with a long run. It is your job to ask questions about what you're doing. That's a great question. I think more runners should ask that question when they're starting as opposed to just taking as the default answer. We will be talking about the speed run soon though. But why do a long run? What is the purpose of having, let's just say your recovery runs are around 30 minutes long or around five K long?"
