The Montreal Protocol and Ozone Depletion

The Montreal Protocol was signed in 1989. It said globally we want to have global production of these CFCs within a decade. By 1999 the limits they put in place in the Montreal Protocol like would not have been enough. The agreement that actually switched it from like ozone is still going to deplete to "we will address the issue" got universal ratification. Every single country in the world joined. Basically we have reduced emissions by more than 99%.
