Walker and Deloitte - What's Your Story?
When he joined Walker and Deloitte, I didn't know really anything about the mortgage finance business. My real expertise has been both general management as well as my exposure and experience in investment banking or venture capital. Being able to think strategically, acquire a lot of companies, integrate those acquisitions and at the same time, make sure that we can actually make good loans, have great credit, etc. It's been pretty good. If you look at our growth and our market share, there are a lot of much, much bigger companies that if you'd asked them 15 years ago, they didn't even know who we were,. And today, we're eating their lunch on a daily basis.
