The Challenges of Decentralization in the App Store
The challenge is with full decentralization, let's say a completely free market in the software census that it becomes, you have to rely on social and kind of open collaborative mechanisms. And so having really large entities like Apple and Google can devote a lot of attention to trying to curate those. This is true for Twitter and social media as well. People would go to more decentralized versions of Twitter because there wasn't a top down rule.
