Is There a Best Way to Sit Still?

Sitting still is not very good for your body. If you have long periods of time in which you're being still, the first thing to do is change that. Our tissues have adapted to that way that we've been sedentary and that we have to undo some of those adaptations. The reason I use alignment mechanically is to remind us that there is no best way to stand or sit.
