Positive Repetition Versus Critical Thinking

I've heard you talk a number of times about the quotient of positive feedback to critical analysis needs to be at a minimum five to one and potentially even on some studies up to 10 to one. One of the greatest accelerants of somebody's performance is to tell them what they're doing right specifically so they can do more of it tomorrow. And when people give an annual constructive review, my heart just crumbles. You have denied the improvement opportunity to another human being. I just don't understand it. So now it's not that you don't need some constructive advice, but much less than people are naturally giving.
