How Do You Get Rid of Bad Audio?

If someone had less than $200 to spend, what would you tell them to do? The first step is getting rid of all the stuff that's actively hurting you. Bad audio is one of those things that even if you want to hear the content, it's actually painful to listen to. And then once you get into spending budget for like gear, I'd say, usually recommend getting a nice camera but that's probably out of the budget.
