Is There a Difference Between Stress and Burnout?

Stress is an indication from our body, not that we're failing in any way. We really need to turn our attention towards something which feels unsafe. Our brain actually responds well when we are getting towards that overwhelmed feeling or that burnout feeling. It's great that those have entered the vernacular. People are starting to pay attention to them. I also feel like we've started using those words so ubiquitously. We've lost a little bit of touch of what they actually are and what they mean.
