How to Build a Likely Effect in Your Presentation
I tend to use that little sequence of slides pretty frequently because it normally gets some chuckles in it. It also shows an understanding effect. By displaying the liking effect like that, you'd show that you understand the customer's problem or situation. Maybe I should start off with the dog pictures every time. That's definitely a great way to build that liking effect right off the bat. And weirdly, those first impressions are very sticky. Even if people are presented with factual information that contradicts their first impression, they tend to stick with their first impression. So it's pretty scary when you think that people are going to judge you immediately before they have any information.
