The first step when you get triggered is try and just get your body a little bit regulated so that you can slow down your thoughts. Restorative yoga was the first thing that sort of broke that open for me. EMDR made me less dissociated about my past because it allows you to sort of be in a moment of trauma and see it with objective clarity.
