The Effects of Lactate on Fat Combustion
Triathletes are not aware of how sensitive the fat combustion of fat metabolism is to an accumulation of lactate. If you go from lactate six to eight, your fat combustion will maybe decrease by 5%. But when you jump from lactate one to lactate three, so another data of two millimoles,your fat combustion will decrease from maybe 70% to only 30% or 25%. So in this range, it is super sensitive.
