The US Supreme Court Model of Active Service for Life
An 18 year cap on active service brings the US Supreme Court model into closer alignment with the most admirable state Supreme Court systems, almost none of which features active service for life. Unlike current reform proposals to pack the court, the 18 year proposal is not partisan and is unlikely to spiral out of control when party control shifts in D.C., at some future point. America as a whole can learn from the experiences of the world's other notable democracies.
