The Importance of Being an Immigrant Child

My dad actually arrived in Australia on Boxing Day. So ever since he had asked, the first thing you're going to do is play cricket like every other Australian. And we didn't object because we had a really positive junior cricketing experience. We had really good coaches who were, you know, really compassionate parents. My school principal for primary school was one of my cricket coaches which always helped me sort of connect beyond where you think the hierarchy leads you. Really I've got 20 years under my belt now. And even my brother is still playing. And I started coaching as well because I loved it so much and wanted to help other people have a positive experience like I did.
