There is still some of this generationall divide, where the old guard is very much what you might consider more a line towards fake toughness. The new, younger leaders are much more open to broader definitions of what it actually means to be tough. A lot of our kind of ideas came out of the world wars, right? Which was just brute strength. Whoever had the biggest tanks would win the war, exactly.
