The first step in professional sales is to find out if the person you're selling actually believes in what they are selling. Sales people should not be trying to elevate their own social status, he says. They just want to get the transaction done and walk out of the store. The PEOs transfer a lot of the risk of being an employer onto them, according to Mr Stott.
