Settler panic has a long history, and it's rooted in the psychology of someone whose position in a social system is predicated on the settler colonial processes. And so we still see this, even on the left, whenhen this conversation is brought up. i just would always say that if this sort of feeling, or this panic, or this discomfort arises in you, and i think allison, you've said this, and the text is obviously aiming at at this idea of like, treating that with genuine curiosity, as opposed to letting it overtake you.
