Is Jiu Jitsu More Technical Than Striking?

Jiu Jitsu is so much more technical than striking. I can understand and agree with your frustration about people who think that somehow striking comes down to being as simple as hit someone else first and hit them more times. That's one of the reasons I'm enjoying so much striking again. It really has been a lot of fun to kind of re-emers myself in the science of boxing. On that note, for people that want to cross over as Jiu Jitsu guys that want to learn how to box or wanting to implement striking for maybe the purposes of self-defense. What are your thoughts on doing so?
