The flin effect is great in the sense that each new generation is getting smarter than last one but it doesn't matter so much in terms of competition because everyone else is getting smarter. In a way there might be a wasniac effect well everybody's smarter now dude. We're a long way from mass adoption of space repetition systems and especially incremental reading.
