Depressive Realism

The notion of depressive realism is only partly true, typically a proper depression. The real deal is in a sense delusional. And you can measure this and you can see that people's forecasting of future life events is way off. They think that only bad things are going to happen, nothing good. Then you can actually track that and see what happens and you see that people were catastrophizing and the reality wasn't that bad. So I would argue that that's too much model. And the model is skewed.
