Skeletal muscle fatigues so rapidly that if in the simple case scenario, if you're activating 100% of your muscle from time to time. The portion of the performance that's in that zone above max that's really mechanical slash fatigue for the steep. That probably reflects the time course of the fast twitch A's and the fast twitch B's pooping out.
