Is There a Difference Between Sales and Product Management?
Can they talk about the vision of the technology rather than just the product? That's such a good litmus test. This person almost has to have an engineering product manager mindset. I think so many founders give salespeople a pass. It's like, yeah, they don't quite understand the technology or where we're going,. But they're also in sales. The right mindset is wow, this person impressed me as someone who could speak on our behalf.
