The Challenges of Research in Cosmetics

Research is a very big word. Research can mean, you know, I took 10 people and asked them, well, what did they think of this? And obviously that's a very different sort of metric than did this actually change from X percent to Y percent. We typically have certain numbers that we like to see in terms of how large a study would be to count as kind of standing up to the rigmarole of looking at it from a data perspective. A lot of those studies are manufacturer studies. They're done with their own kind of parameters. Many will not share those because they have them under the auspices of things that we don't share for trade secrets.
