Galvanic Vestibular Stimulation in Virtual Reality
The vestibular system is very much like a computer games controller. It detects rotational acceleration in three dimensions around X, Y and Z. Werner Stengel's Cobra roll exploited nearly every aspect of the Vestibular system inside our ears. I was also quite frustrated that the human is now becoming the limiting factor in the design of roller coasters. But there were other ideas - such as making a bed that could be used for motion simulators to help people dream about rides.
