When you're in a peak performance mode like the motivation is right there it's like you and it are one you are going for it but when you're not in great mental health it's like it literally feels far away. I don't often think of motivation as lost which is how people tend to frame it when they do feel like motivation is far away. When we feel like motivator is far away or like we've lost motivation it might just be that we're more motivated to do something else. In the case of anxiety it might be getting curious about what is drawing your attention to the future and whether or not that's something you can in fact control or influence right now. And so
