How to Assess a Not Sincere Compliment

When you get a compliment and you're not taking it in, some people might say, that's not sincere or that's good at this. Many times people will play down the compliment when they experience the compliment as discrepant with how they see themselves. So my thing is just allow yourself to hear the compliment and trust that it's coming from a sincere place.
