The Effect of System Suspense on Players

We added those very clear sign posted, uh, like you can only do this if you have this trait at the almost the very end of development. And we did it explicitly to encourage the player to, to, to think about how the world might be different based on their traits. Because one thing we were seeing a lot with players up until that point was that they weren't convinced their traits had any effect. Um, whereas if they would just play through another time or two, uh, they would see that there's other subtle things that they might realize are also happening that are different.
