Training Sticking Points

During a normal length paul's bench press, during a squat without a superlong pause, there's going to be those stretch shortening cycle related mechanisms in play. They're kind of, i don't want to say, artificially giving you a boost, but theyare allowing your muscles to contract for less than a split second. So when it comes to training sticking points, it doesn't make much sense to focus on the range motion that's a little bit above that. You just want a train for strength at the bottom. And that's what's going to give you the most return on investment.
