How to Create a Community for Older People

Older people can and do find that they can reawaken their curiosity. I often think about balancing out any sadness or grief with joy. If there's too much sadness, you will feel unhappy. And so injecting some joy in there is really lovely. How hard it is for an introvert to go out and feel cheerful and create a community. What spiritual practice would you recommend? First of all, older people living alone is epidemic. A statistic i cite in my book is that forty % of people over 80 live alone in america. This terrible. Many of them can't afford anything else. They live in a little apartment on social security, and theyre trap there.
