The Concert of Europe, 1815-1815

In the late 18th century, you've got the French Revolution and a lot of new innovative ideas going around. Then you have the Napoleonic Wars from around, it was 1800 to 1815, incredibly bloody period. So there's just been constant bloodshed finally in 1815 or so they managed to get rid of Napoleon. They'd had enough of this whole sort of nationalist uprising thing. And so they came together at the Congress of Vienna and it's sort of interesting. There was an agreement made about the idea that they would work together to govern the international,. the European system at least and ensure that it would remain conservative and monarchical.
