Stretching is a physical therapy technique that we've been doing since forever it's like contract relaxed techniques. Boxing, jujitsu and even Olympic weightlifting requires people to be able to get into certain ranges of ranges of motion without inhibition. If you are more flexible not just passively but actively within these ranges that will help you not to get injured when you do have to enter these ranges in competition and training rightYeah I 100% agree with that an FRC does a really good job yeah at teaching that and giving tools to people giving functional range and conditioning it's really good stuff.
