It's really detrimental to a high performing organization and team to allow people who are not high performers to get a pass. There is such thing as manager bias, that's one of the biggest problems with performance reviews. We had a very interesting system that was based on geography, cost of thing. And so then you take that in a moralistic view, and you can use that as a common way to assess people both in an office or remote.
