On 10 August 2025, after a long delay, the yellow metro line was finally inaugurated by PM Modi in Bengaluru. But just a month after the inauguration, long wait times, overcrowding and underutilisation of potential continue to plague the nearly 19 km line that connects RV Road with Bommasandra. The reason? Geopolitics, because of the involvement of a Chinese supplier of rolling stock.
