The Role of Oxygen in Hypoxic Patients
The clinical question would be what if those who were allocated to CPAP stayed on CPAP would we still have seen non-inferiority. What we've ended up looking at is pretty much high flow versus high flow and therefore it's you know with a very high crossover rate. The patients who end up staying on the allocated treatment throughout and come off it are very different patients from the ones who don't tolerate it or get worse clinically. So there's a very significant bias in their severity of illness or their progression that you couldn't really extrapolate the results of the super protocol to everybody easily.
