Donna Brazile: I have known that clarifying your messages is really key. But the idea that you break it down to a single sentence or two that can and should be repeated multiple times over, my initial thought is, well, that's repetitive. For somebody who's really intelligent and authentic, it comes off as reductionistic and it come off as sort of manipulative. If you care about somebody, you know, when I asked my wife to marry me, I didn't wing it. And because her understanding what I wanted to say and me getting the answer that I hope to get was important.
