Kodak's Hot Process Is Not as Hot as It Used to Be
A hot process was developed by John Baptista, who died of a heart attack at the age of 52. He wanted to make release prints faster and more contrast-rich. "I have to tell you, there were years that they tried to pressure me to go to a true hot process," he says. The biggest difference between film and digital now is you don't have those processes.
