The Paradox of Spirituality

and If a spiritual path is effective in my opinion for somebody It's one it's a process that actually undermines its own apparent reality and foundation And leaves us progressively in this just open immediate experiencing But Why would we as we were just saying why would we make all this effort if it wasn't to Try to have the most meaningful satisfying life possible But at some point a certain paradoxical Understanding arises about oh, well, this is a little weird, but maybe For me to move forward beyond this point. I'm going to have to give up my agendas of moving forward

not it's not paradoxical actually It's the way our dualistic minds work that make it appear to be a pair of paradox But reality I don't think it's paradoxical It's just when our dualistic minds engage with non divided reality. You know, that's how we think about it

That's just a language to suggest that We are The universe Experiencing itself where life Experiencing itself and we're up Rather unique as far as we know expression of life universe Where there's this Very interesting capacity for self-reflexive awareness And so we're always, you know, have this impulse to try to make ourselves the object of our Experiencing sort of and there's some benefits to that and there's some price tags um But

If we Get out of our Identification where they're thinking let's say you go for a walk or you're riding a bicycle down a hill or something surfing in the ocean You probably don't experience paradox You know, you're just participating rather fully There's no evidence of a division anywhere Between you and the rest of your life There's no evidence of discontinuity that I've ever found The sense of discontinuity comes from our identification with pretending to be a separate alienate itself But that's what we have to work with, you know, we don't make it wrong, you know, we practice being kind and investigating it
