A lot of what you see these days with like a top single followed by lower intensity lower rpe back off work it does kind of scratch that itch for being in both camps. There's at least reason to believe that training closer to failure is probably more efficient on a percet basis for hypertrophy. I don't think that necessarily extends to all loads all the time all exercises but there's a little bit more nuance there. If somebody has limited time to train right um probably going to pack in more sets that are more intense whether that be from load orWhether that be from proximate to failures probably applications of both.
