Diversity Is Not About You Being This or That, I'm Not Races

When an organization, say on a campus or the school itself, identifies that they want to be more diverse a then they have a lot of work to do. And one of the things that you identify in the book that stops the work is is a that conflict is going to naturally arise. Why would people believe any organization would be without conflict? That really, that assumption was really confusing to me. But people seem to be really unprepared for that. I think people this idea that if they get along in some areas, and, you know, maybe they're part of the same organization, and there, you no have some of the same values," she said.
