In an ideal world, it would be great to know their insulin resistance. 50% of women with PCOS develop diabetes or pre-diabetes before they're 40. And we see that many women with PCS have low-grade inflammation. So having some insight into whether there is some inflammation going on is also helpful. We don't really understand the mechanism behind the more we learn about vitamin D,. But yeah, I often try to check my patients' vitamin D levels as well.
