The Importance of Academic Excellence
I think if the Olympics were designed to recognize effort, I think that's a question of kind of what the Olympics recognize. You discuss a similar kind of analogous question when it comes to admissions, to university. If it's unfair for people to buy their way into the backdoor of university, why is it fair to buying their way through the front door, through tuition and things? And these are the kind of questions that arise. We can't decide how to allocate honors and rewards material and otherwise without taking a view about what is the good of this association.
