The Importance of Social Competition in the Workplace

The incentive that matters the most to me is whether or not this level of social competition exists at all, right? Like in a, in many corporations, the only way that you get promoted over your boss is actually like just metrics. And I think when you combine these three things together, what you get is that essentially we're creating an egalitarian democracy where more and more people are free to interact with each other. That's quite bad in general. But definitely opening people up to a much more broad social competition with social status markers in their face.
