The Wild Wild West of Lawyer Advertising
In 1976 the law clinic of Bates and Osteen ran one little classified in the Arizona Republic saying do you need a lawyer? That pretty much opened up the floodgates. Florida has some of the strictest guidelines in the country for these ads. There are a few other states that are weirdly like Iowa and Texas, given to hammers over a fair hand. But Massachusetts and Connecticut are still pretty wildy Westy if you're a national firm.
