The Importance of the Gut Microbiome in the Immune System
Most of our immune cells are actually in the lining of our gut. People thought it was just a defensive barriata combat, but increasingly it seems to be that it's for communication rather than as a defense. The gut is a really important driver of whether our body's in action mode or it's in rest mode. And so, all these signals have been passed to the immune cells and then they then pass this on through the body into the rest of the body.
