There are really three core attributes of burnout. Exhaustion, cynicism and inefficacy can serve as stepping stones to a full burnt out phenomenon. If you have a lot of energy and you find that you're still being productive, but you're exhausted, you're not technically burnt out, but you are stepping in that direction.
