Is There a Spiritual Bypass?
I think it's all in the service of self-protection, like our minds want us to stay safe. And so the answer is these kinds of practices that you teach through your spiritual practice and that I teach through the therapy practices that I have. It doesn't do me any good to assume the worst. It just tightens me up and makes, you know, ruins my sleep for the next two nights. But it's wild. There's no stopping the mind. Yeah. You have something else here that I love and again has an Eastern analogy. In the East, we would call it spiritual bypass. Here, I get, I can't remember.
