Struggling to find the time and space for practice is another barrier that comes up. After people complete a formal meditation training class like mindfulness-based cognitive therapy or mindfulness-based stress reduction, their frequency of at-home meditation practice tends to drop off. Some folks were reporting this feeling that meditation was in conflict with their cultural or familial norms. And it's hard to be with those sorrows, especially when we're conditioned in our daily lives to turn away from what's difficult as opposed to opening and turning towards.
