Rachel: You can kind of notice different bodily cues leading up to your losing your cool with your child. It could be like this mom I work with. She would feel this butterfly in her stomach and then that sinking sensation in the chest. So she would kind of use the sensation as a reminder to, okay, I'm going to place one hand on my chest and one hand onmy stomach as a cue for me to sit up a little bit. And then you could kind of talk yourself through it that, you know what, my child needs independence and I'm goingto delight in that.
